Availability of WheelTrading.io

WheelTrading.io is directed at persons resident in Germany and Austria. Use is permitted within the European Union; access from states outside the EU (third countries) is blocked.

Why this restriction?

The regulatory framework for the Wheel strategy (BaFin supervision, consumer protection, right of withdrawal, price-labelling rules, tax import and capital-gains-tax forms) is geared towards Germany and Austria. Within the European Union, use is not blocked. For states outside the EU (third countries, e.g. the USA) we deliberately block access.

How is the restriction enforced?

  • Network layer: Requests from third countries (outside the EU)

are redirected to an information page (/en/geo-block) at the edge. In addition, known data-centre IP ranges (often used for VPN and anonymisation services from third countries) are blocked.

  • Contractual layer: The geographic scope and the permitted

geographic area of use of the application are legally binding under § 1 of our Terms and Conditions.

  • User profile: If you relocate your residence to a state outside

the European Union after signing up, you are obliged to inform us without undue delay.

I am in the EU and see the info page anyway

There are two typical causes:

  1. Active VPN or corporate network: If your traffic is routed

through a server outside the European Union (e.g. corporate VPN, TOR network), our systems classify the request as coming from a third country. Solution: Deactivate VPN briefly and reload the homepage.

  1. False positive: In rare cases the IP database misclassifies

an EU address. Solution: Please report the incident to info@wheeltrading.io with your approximate region – we will whitelist the IP manually.

Is expansion planned?

Extending the service to further regions is planned in the medium term. No specific timeline exists yet and there is no entitlement to activation.
