Plans & subscription model

WheelTrading.io has three paid tiers: Wheel Starter, Wheel Master and Wheel Premium. All three start with a four-week free trial in the tier you chose - you only pay from day 29 (unless you cancel before).

There is no separate "Free" tier for new users any more. The free plan only survives as a locked placeholder for existing accounts (see below).

Wheel Starter

Price: EUR 19/month during months 1-3 (intro), then EUR 29/month. Yearly plan EUR 309 (approx. 11% savings).

Entry level for smaller portfolios. Filter settings run on the system default; volatility and IV automation are not yet included.

  • Up to 5 open positions at the same time (counted per underlying).
  • 1 IBKR / LYNX account (live or paper, master user).
  • Cockpit (basic P&L), portfolio overview, live sync via IBKR CP.
  • Manual wheel workflow: proposals, rolls, field-by-field copy-paste

of the order values into your broker.

  • Watchlist (1 list, up to 5 symbols).
  • Research: fundamentals, metric evaluation (own symbols only).
  • Calendar: own expiries (10-day horizon).
  • Performance: equity curve.
  • Risk: basic NLV, limits panel (view only).
  • Notifications: in-app only (no Telegram).
  • Providers: Finnhub key.
  • API rate limit: 300 requests/day.

Wheel Master

Price: EUR 49/month, EUR 529/year (approx. 10% savings).

The typical choice for active wheel traders with full access to the filter parameters. Master is the sweet spot: all levers unlocked, Telegram push, FlexQuery import for history.

Everything in Wheel Starter, plus:

  • Up to 15 open positions at the same time.
  • Full filter settings: take profit, ATR distances, max

positions, NLV scaling, earnings blocker, dividends blocker.

  • IBKR FlexQuery import (trades, dividends, corporate actions).
  • Full cockpit (drill-down per position).
  • Telegram notifications (trading events: fills, assignments, roll

proposals).

  • Screener + up to 3 saved preset filters.
  • Research chain (portfolio ∪ watchlist).
  • Calendar complete (earnings, dividends, macro; 30-day horizon).
  • Performance including monthly breakdown.
  • Risk panel (concentration, diversification) + editable limits.
  • Sector rotation.
  • Deposits & dividends tracking.
  • Tax export: CSV, FlexQuery import, DE tax report.
  • API rate limit: 2,000 requests/day.

Wheel Premium

Price: EUR 99/month, EUR 1,069/year (approx. 10% savings).

Everything included. For users with larger portfolios, high activity or specific needs in volatility control and risk analytics.

Everything in Wheel Master, plus:

  • Unlimited open positions.
  • Volatility regime (VIX) editable (5 bands).
  • IV-Rank / IV-Percentile writable (POST /api/iv/...).
  • Delta targets and roll thresholds customisable.
  • ATR period configurable.
  • AI insights: macro outlook + narrative research summary.
  • Research chain without symbol restriction.
  • News, heatmap and macro views complete.
  • Performance history, benchmark, export.
  • Risk stress test (margin stress).
  • Wheel ledger and corporate actions in the tax module.
  • Dividend forecast.
  • Trade history detail.
  • Unlimited watchlist symbols, up to 90-day calendar horizon,

unlimited screener presets.

  • Providers: Finnhub, DeepL, Gemini, OpenAI, Telegram, calendar.
  • API rate limit: 10,000 requests/day.
Not included in Premium: multi-strategy profiles, push notifications, naked calls, multiple IBKR accounts, wheel-runner / auto-trading. These are deliberately excluded (BaFin, retail risk or roadmap 2027/2028 - see section below).

Free trial (all tiers)

  • 28 days free in the tier of your choice.
  • Payment method is captured at registration (card or SEPA mandate via

Stripe SetupIntent) - during the trial no charge is made.

  • Cancel any time during the trial in the customer portal - no invoice

will be issued.

  • Without cancellation the subscription auto-activates on day 29

(regular tier price; for Starter the EUR 19 intro applies for 3 months).

  • Only one trial per user / payment method / email.

Switching between tiers

  • Upgrades are possible any time (Starter -> Master, Master ->

Premium). Billing is prorated: the remaining days of the current period are credited, the difference to the new tier is invoiced immediately.

  • Downgrades take effect at the **end of the current billing

period** (no refund).

  • Monthly -> yearly switch: immediate with a prorated credit.
  • Yearly -> monthly on the same tier: only at the end of the

yearly term.

Cancellation

  • Monthly and yearly plans follow the Stripe standard cycle

(cancel_at_period_end=true): access stays active until the end of the current period, no further billing after that.

  • No prorated refunds.
  • After cancellation the account switches to a locked state; your data

(watchlists, strategy profiles, history) remains and is unlocked again on reactivation.

  • Where to click: **My Account → Billing & Subscription →

Cancellation → "Cancel subscription"**. A confirmation dialog shows the exact access end date.

Right of withdrawal (new contracts)

Within 14 days of concluding the contract you can withdraw under § 355 German Civil Code (BGB) directly in the UI under My Account → Billing & Subscription → Cancellation → "Withdraw within 14 days". The button is only visible while the window is open; the exact deadline is shown in the same section.

After confirming:

  • Access ends immediately (not at the end of the period).
  • All invoices paid within the withdrawal window are **refunded in

full** (Stripe refund to the original payment method, credited within a few days).

  • The account is moved back to the base plan; watchlists and history

remain.

  • A "withdrawal confirmation" transactional email is sent to the

account's email address.

  • Internally, a credit note `GS-YYYY-####` (sequential per year)

is created automatically. It mirrors the reversed invoice with negative amounts and a negative payment, so the ledger balances out. The original invoice is kept unchanged (GoBD) and gets a "Reversed by GS-<year>-####" marker in the bookkeeping UI.

Alternatively you can declare the withdrawal by email to widerruf@wheeltrading.io. During the free trial no payment has been made, so no refund or compensation is due. Full withdrawal notice in the registration wizard + terms of service.

Field locking on tier changes

If you already set values (e.g. delta targets in Premium) and switch to a smaller tier, the locked fields are not deleted - the system default takes over, and your values reappear on a later upgrade.

Existing customers (legacy plans)

The old 5-tier model (free, basic, medium, premium, ultra) was replaced by the three new tiers on 2026-08-14. Existing accounts are mapped automatically:

  • basic and medium -> Wheel Master
  • premium and ultra -> Wheel Premium
  • free stays locked (portfolio view only) - reactivation via choosing

one of the three new tiers.

Admin bypass

Accounts with the admin role always see the full Premium feature set, regardless of the active subscription. The bypass is traceable in the database (user.is_admin=true) and is used only for internal support and maintenance tasks.

What is NOT part of the subscription (out of scope)

  • Wheel runner / full automation: BaFin and risk reasons. Not

ported to the web platform.

  • Auto-roll / auto-close hooks: same rationale.
  • Naked calls: retail risk, hard-blocked in the backend.
  • Multiple IBKR accounts per user: BaFin ("on whose account"). All

tiers: 1 account.

  • Email as a notification channel: only transactional emails

(invoice, withdrawal, password reset, trial end), no trading signals.

  • Push notifications (PWA) and multi-strategy profiles:

roadmap 2027/2028, only after live operation and measurable demand.
